Pet Policy for Rental Property

We understand that pets are an important part of many people's lives, and we welcome responsible pet owners to our rental property. However, to ensure the safety and well-being of all tenants and the property itself, we have established the following pet policy:

  1. Pet Deposit and Fees: A non-refundable pet deposit and additional monthly pet rent will be required for each pet. The amount of the deposit and rent will be specified in the lease agreement and will vary depending on the type and size of the pet.
  2. Pet Types and Size Limitations: We only allow domesticated cats and dogs as pets. We do not allow exotic animals, snakes, birds, or rodents. We also have a weight limit of 90 pounds per pet.
  3. Vaccinations and Licensing: All pets must be up to date on their vaccinations and licensing requirements as per local and state regulations. A copy of the current vaccination and licensing records must be provided to the landlord before the pet is allowed on the property.
  4. Pet Behavior: Pets must be well-behaved, trained, and socialized to avoid causing damage to the property or disturbing other tenants. Tenants are responsible for any damages or disturbances caused by their pets.
  5. Leash and Waste: All pets must be kept on a leash or within a secure enclosure when outside of the rental unit. Tenants are responsible for promptly cleaning up any pet waste and disposing of it properly.
  6. Right to Deny or Terminate: We reserve the right to deny any pet that does not meet our requirements, or terminate a tenant's pet.
